Visit to Senegal - November 2005, Axelle visited rice production in the Saint-Louis region, in the North of the country. “I am not against free trade , but I think exceptions should be made(…), governements should be able to decide on the market conditions for agricultural products like rice and ognons “, she declared in Dakar in a joint effort with Senegalese rapper Didier Awadi to mobilize for a Fairer Trade.

Photo Campaign(F) - French organisation Agir ici launched the campaign “Make noise till Hong Kong !” aiming for the World Trade Organization ministerial conference in December 2005.

The campaign asks the United States and the European Community to stop subsidizing export at dumping prizes of e.g. cotton, meat and rice.
It states that countries of the South should be able to protect their markets against these dumping products.
Negotiations at the WTO should be transparent and should take in account the voice of the countries from the South.
